These two were the absolute dream—fun, playful, and so deeply in love. Their session felt more like a fun and casual afternoon with friends than a photo shoot, which is exactly the energy we want when capturing engagement photos.
I’ve actually known Emmet since high school, which made this session extra special for me. Seeing him so happy and head-over-heels for Karly was just the best. They went to college near Santa Cruz and spent a lot of time exploring the coast during those years, so it only made sense to come back to one of their favorite spots for their engagement photos. From cliffside exploring to running barefoot in the sand, they were totally in their element—and it showed in every frame.
The way Emmet and Karly love each other is effortless. They’re constantly laughing, sneaking kisses, and being 100% themselves, which made my job as their photographer an absolute breeze. We chased golden hour light and let the sound of crashing waves be our soundtrack. It was romantic, nostalgic, and full of heart.
