a redwoods vineyard wedding

There are some weddings that just radiate love and joy—and Marquis and Kamryn’s vineyard wedding in the redwoods was one of them. Not just because the scenery was unreal (more on that in a sec), but because this one was personal. Mo and I go way back—college days, he lived in the dorm with my sister—so when he asked me to photograph his wedding, my heart just about exploded. And Kam? She’s one of those people who radiates goodness. She’s now considered a friend and one of most kind and most down-to-earth humans I know.

They chose a vineyard tucked into the redwoods (insert name of venue here) and I 10/10 recommend. The ceremony was serene and heartfelt, nestled beneath towering trees with sunlight peeking through the branches. But the real showstopper? The family-style dinner right in the middle of the redwoods. It felt like something straight out of a movie—long tables, string lights, clinking glasses, and the kind of laughter that echoes through the trees.

Golden hour, of course, delivered. The light poured over the vineyard like honey, and we ran through the rows of grapevines with that just-married energy you wish you could bottle up forever.

Getting to capture my friend’s wedding—someone I’ve known for years—and now seeing him so blissfully happy with Kam? It was one of those full-circle moments that reminds you why this job is so special.

If you’re dreaming of a vineyard wedding in the redwoods, let this be your sign. It’s romantic, woodsy, a little wild—and 100% worth it.
